Purpose

There are some individuals who are natural leaders and are great at bringing large crowds of people together. There are others who are lovers and exhibit remarkable devotion to a single person. Some people are musicians, gifted with knowledge of the laws of harmony and musical expression. Some are teachers, passionately endowing new knowledge upon others. Some are innovators, inventing new ways of work or play. Some are quiet artists, creators who create entire universes on paper. Some will be mystics who navigate the unknown realms to share the wisdom they discovered there.

The point of this is that you will never acknowledge and appreciate your own strengths and gifts as long as you are comparing yourself against other people. Everyone has a different specialty and different gift to offer in this lifetime. Our society raises us to be graded and judged against the social standard, never considering the uniqueness of outlying variables. Some are born to create a new paradigm. The journey begins with discovering your gift, and truly begins once you manifest it into your daily life.

I implore you, to find some time reflecting and looking within just to see what flows out of you. Reflect on what has always motivated you, and what has inspired you. Reflect on what has been the primary outlet of your creativity. Reflect on what you can see yourself doing, filled with passion, as if you felt like it wasn’t even work. Reflect on what makes your soul shrine bright with joy. When you find it, that is your birthright, that is your gift, and that is your offering to this world. Cherish it, embrace it, but most importantly of all, pursue it.
